Golden Pizza Shovel Competition Heating Up - Sept 19, 2007: With only two days before the big game, the Domino’s Pizza store in Lake Havasu City has opened up a $200 lead in its competition against its sister store in Bullhead City, and it looks like the gloves are off.

Nearly $1,500 was raised during the First Annual Domino’s Pizza ‘Golden Pizza Shovel’ competition, which ended Friday at Thunderbird Stadium in Bullhead City.

 Having won a fundraising competition sponsored by the local Domino’s Pizza restaurant, administrators and teachers at Smoketree Elementary School have chosen 25 students to have lunch with Mayor Mark Nexsen next week.
